Health Guarantee
We Stand By The Health Of Our Puppies!
At the time of adoption, our puppies are 100% guaranteed to be in good health and free of any signs of infection or contagious or communicable diseases. We are proud that our relationship with you does not end when you purchase a puppy from us. We’d like to think that as a family of breeders, experienced puppy counselors, and puppy lovers, nothing can ever go wrong with our puppies. Certain things, however, are never under our control. A puppy’s health is determined by a variety of factors, including genetics, exercise, food and nutrition, and overall care. While we cannot guarantee that your puppy will never have a health problem, we promise to do our best.
The seller certifies that the puppy you purchase is in good health at the time of sale, to the best of our knowledge, and has received all vaccinations and wormings listed on the vaccination record provided to the buyer (s). We make every effort to provide the new owner with a healthy puppy. Further vaccinations, boosters, and wormings will be the buyer’s responsibility.
Within two weeks of purchasing your new puppy, you must take him or her to a licensed veterinarian for an examination. If the veterinarian determines that your dog is clinically ill or has died as a result of an injury or illness that occurred on or before the date of sale and delivery, you have the following options:
- Return the dog to receive a full refund.
- Return the dog in exchange for a dog of equal value.
- Retain the dog and get reimbursed for reasonable veterinary fees up to the purchase price.
These options do not apply if the seller, who has provided a veterinarian-issued health certificate, discloses the health problem for which the buyer later seeks to return the dog in writing at the time of sale.
If this puppy becomes ill or has a genetic defect, the following conditions must be met in order for a replacement to be made: An official report from a licensed veterinarian stating unequivocally that the puppy has a genetic defect that would impede the puppy’s development must be sent to us, along with the vet’s phone number.
If the puppy dies, a licensed veterinarian must conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Before we can make a decision, we need to see the documentation. The seller reserves the right to have the diagnosis confirmed by a veterinarian of his choosing. The seller will not be liable for any costs you incur, including return shipping and vet fees.
If a licensed veterinarian determines that your dog has a congenital or hereditary defect that negatively affects the animal’s health within 30 days of purchase, or that your dog died from a congenital or hereditary defect, you have the same options as outlined above.
This warranty is only applicable to the original purchaser. Because a puppy can pick up parasites while traveling overnight, they are not covered under warranty. Your puppy will be wormed and should be wormed on a regular basis, as recommended by your veterinarian.
We hereby agree to provide a 2-week health warranty and a 1-year genetic warranty on this puppy, as stated in the terms above.
